BREAKING: Another Carolina Goal Mechine Commits To UVA Again

Title: UVA Women’s Basketball Program Bolsters Front Court with Trio of Transfer Commitments

In a strategic move to fortify their front court, Coach Mox and the UVA women’s basketball program have secured three significant transfer commitments, adding depth and talent to their roster for the upcoming seasons.

The latest addition comes in the form of RyLee Grays, a 6’3″ forward hailing from Pearland, Texas, who just completed her freshman season at North Carolina. Despite limited playing time during her debut year with the Tar Heels, Grays brings a wealth of potential and versatility to the Cavaliers. A former four-star recruit and the Houston Girls Basketball Player of the Year in her senior year at Pearland High School, Grays possesses the size and skill set to make a significant impact at Virginia.

Joining Grays are two other formidable transfers: Hawa Doumoubya, a towering 6’7″ center from Maryland, and Latasha Lattimore, a skilled 6’4″ forward from Miami. Doumbouya, like Grays, boasts three years of eligibility remaining, while Lattimore brings two years of experience to the Cavaliers. With these additions, UVA addresses the departures of key players such as Camryn Taylor, Sam Brunelle, and London Clarkson, providing much-needed depth and talent in the front court.

Furthermore, the Cavaliers are set to welcome incoming freshman Breona Hurd, a promising 6’2″ forward and four-star recruit from Waynesville, MO, further solidifying their roster for the 2024-2025 season.

Coach Mox’s strategic moves in the transfer portal have effectively filled 11 of the team’s 15 scholarship spots for the upcoming season, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive campaign ahead. With Grays, Doumbouya, Lattimore, and Hurd joining the ranks, UVA’s women’s basketball program looks poised for success as they aim to make a statement in the ACC and beyond.
