Duke Basketball Lands Five-Star Forward Kon Knueppel
Duke basketball has bolstered its 2024 recruiting class with the commitment of five-star forward Kon Knueppel. The Wisconsin native, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 205 pounds, chose Duke over Wisconsin, Alabama, and Marquette. Ranked 16th nationally and 7th among small forwards, Knueppel brings versatility, exceptional shooting, and playmaking skills to the team. He joins an already impressive recruiting class featuring four-star guard Darren Harris and five-star wing Isaiah Evans, positioning Duke’s class as the second-best in the country.
Knueppel’s commitment is a significant win for head coach Jon Scheyer, who continues to build on Duke’s storied basketball tradition. Knueppel averaged 23 points per game in the EYBL circuit, making 47% of his three-point attempts, showcasing his scoring prowess. His decision was announced via social media, where he expressed excitement about joining the Duke family.
