Ariana Grande Joins Weverse, Expanding Fan Interaction Capabilities
Pop sensation Ariana Grande is set to join HYBE’s superfan platform, Weverse, this week on July 21, joining an impressive roster that includes global stars like BTS and Blackpink. This development follows the announcement that Grande will continue her association with Scooter Braun’s entertainment brand, HYBE America Inc.
Billboard reports that on Weverse, Grande will be able to “post messages and content to her own dedicated community” and “hold livestreams for members.” Additionally, according to the Daily Mail, she will “read personalized fan letters, upload exclusive media content, share disappearing messages, and utilize the popular Weverse Shop.”
Weverse, a South Korean mobile app and web platform launched in June 2019, currently hosts 146 artists and sees around 10 million monthly users from 245 countries and regions. This provides Grande with a unique opportunity to connect with her global fanbase in new and interactive ways.
Joon Choi from HYBE shared his thoughts on Grande’s addition to Weverse, stating, “Weverse is definitely a distinct platform, different from other social media platforms, so I’m also very curious how it will be utilized by artists like Ariana Grande.” He emphasized that Weverse is more than just another social media platform, describing it as “a place where people who love the artist gather.”
Grande’s move to Weverse marks a significant step in enhancing fan engagement, offering a more intimate and exclusive interaction experience for her followers.
