Lioness Chloe Kelly Marries Long-Time Boyfriend Scott Moore
England Lioness and Manchester City star Chloe Kelly has married her long-time boyfriend, Scott Moore, in a beautiful ceremony at Merrydale Manor in Cheshire. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by friends and family at the stunning country estate in Over Peover, near Knutsford.
Kelly, 26, known for scoring the iconic winning goal against Germany in the 2022 Women’s Euros final, looked breathtaking in a long, white, figure-hugging wedding dress, holding a large bouquet of white flowers. Her husband, Scott, a greenkeeper, looked dapper in a dark suit with a large bow tie. The thrilled couple were seen sharing a kiss in the picturesque grounds, to the delight of onlooking guests.
The couple announced their engagement in December last year after Scott proposed during a romantic trip to see the Northern Lights in Finland. Kelly shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of the two against the illuminated green sky, showing off her diamond ring with the caption, “The easiest YES. Here’s to forever with you.”
Kelly met Scott when she was playing for Everton and he was a groundsman. Their relationship began when she held a door open for him, leading to him messaging her on social media. Their first date was a trip to IKEA as Kelly was moving home. Scott, who currently works as a greenkeeper at a golf club, has largely kept their relationship private but has shown public support for Kelly, especially during the Euros, where he was seen wearing an England shirt with her name on the back.
The newlyweds’ love story, from a chance meeting at Everton to a stunning wedding in Cheshire, has captured the hearts of many, marking another milestone in Kelly’s remarkable journey both on and off the pitch.
