Metallica to Headline Sonic Temple Festival Twice on M72 Tour in 2025
Metallica is set to headline the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio, twice during their newly announced M72 North American tour in 2025. The legendary metal band will perform two no-repeat sets at the festival, which runs from May 8 to May 11 at Historic Crew Stadium.
Joining Metallica will be Rob Zombie, who is set to support their Friday night performance, and Alice In Chains, who will open for them on Sunday, May 11. The festival lineup is expected to feature over 100 bands across four stages, with additional headliners and daily announcements starting September 20.
Festival organizer Danny Wimmer expressed his excitement about finally securing Metallica for Sonic Temple after five years of trying. “Every year we ask our fans who they want to see at Sonic Temple, and the answer this year was clear: Metallica!” said Wimmer. “We’re so excited about this lineup and will be announcing more artists daily for the next month.”
With four days of live music and a highly anticipated lineup, Sonic Temple 2025 is shaping up to be one of the biggest rock festivals of the year. Fans can expect an unforgettable experience as Metallica and other top acts take the stage in Columbus next May.
