Richard Madeley Refutes Rumours of Feud with Susanna Reid, Calls Working Relationship a “Privilege”
TV presenter Richard Madeley has addressed speculation about a supposed feud with his Good Morning Britain (GMB) co-host, Susanna Reid, dismissing the claims and praising their working relationship.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the 68-year-old veteran broadcaster described working alongside Reid as a “privilege,” highlighting their shared journalistic approach. “I think I’m really lucky to have been paired with Susanna,” Madeley said. “We think in the same way about how to sell a story and how to deliver it on air. We’re very much on the same page, which makes it a treat working with her.”
Rumours of tension between the pair had been fuelled by moments on-air, such as when Madeley was seen recoiling after Reid touched his shoulder in October, and fans speculated about her facial expressions during broadcasts. However, Madeley firmly denied the gossip, saying, “I love working with her, she’s fantastic.”
With a long career that includes This Morning and Richard and Judy, Madeley reflected on how GMB has provided him with a sense of fulfillment. “Good Morning Britain has been incredibly rewarding for me,” he shared.
Despite the rumours, Madeley’s comments reaffirm that his partnership with Reid remains strong and harmonious on the GMB set.
