Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains Announces New Solo Album and 2025 Tour
Seattle, WA — January 3, 2025
Legendary Alice in Chains guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell has announced the release of his fourth solo album, Shadows Unbroken, set to drop on April 15, 2025. The album, described as a return to his grunge and heavy rock roots, will feature collaborations with several prominent artists, including William DuVall, Taylor Momsen, and Dave Grohl.
Cantrell revealed the news in an exclusive interview, saying, “This album is a deeply personal exploration of where I’ve been and where I’m headed. It’s a continuation of my journey, not just as a member of Alice in Chains but as an artist trying to make sense of the world.”
The first single, “Through the Ashes,” is slated for release later this month and promises a gritty, guitar-driven sound reminiscent of Alice in Chains’ Dirt era. Fans are already buzzing, eager to hear Cantrell’s signature blend of haunting melodies and introspective lyrics.
Alongside the album release, Cantrell will embark on the Shadows Unbroken World Tour, beginning in Seattle on May 1, 2025. The tour will span North America, Europe, and Australia, with a mix of solo material and Alice in Chains classics on the setlist.
Tickets go on sale January 20, with VIP packages offering fans meet-and-greets and behind-the-scenes access.
