News Story: Greta Van Fleet Frontman Talks Evolution of Classic Rock in the Modern Era

January 6, 2025 – Nashville, TN

Josh Kiszka, the charismatic frontman of Greta Van Fleet, sat down with music journalists today to discuss the band’s role in reviving the spirit of classic rock for a new generation. Known for their soaring vocals and thunderous riffs, the Michigan-based band has often been likened to Led Zeppelin—a comparison that Kiszka both embraces and challenges.

“Classic rock was always about pushing boundaries and channeling raw energy,” Kiszka said. “But we’re not here to mimic; we’re here to evolve. We want to honor the past while forging something entirely new.”

Kiszka revealed that the band’s upcoming album, titled Echoes of Eternity, will feature a fusion of analog recording techniques and modern electronic influences. “We’ve experimented with synthesizers and orchestral elements, but the heartbeat is still that gritty, unapologetic rock sound.”

When asked about the state of rock music today, Kiszka expressed optimism: “Rock isn’t dead; it’s just evolving. Bands like us, The Struts, and Rival Sons are proof that there’s still a hunger for powerful, guitar-driven music.”

Greta Van Fleet will kick off their Eternal Flame world tour in March 2025, with dates across North America, Europe, and Asia. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, solidifying their place as torchbearers of “Classic Rock 2.0.”

Stay tuned for more updates as Greta Van Fleet continues to redefine the genre for the modern age.
