Liberty’s Rachel Roupe Ranked No. 38 on Softball America’s Preseason Top 100 Players List
Liberty University senior outfielder Rachel Roupe has been recognized as one of the top players in NCAA Division I softball, earning the No. 38 spot on Softball America’s Preseason Top 100 Players List. The Sharpsburg, Md., native also ranks 10th among outfielders on the prestigious list, solidifying her status as a standout performer heading into the 2025 season.
Among the Nation’s Best
Roupe’s ranking places her among the top players outside of the Power 4 Conferences, where she is third overall, trailing only Miami (Ohio) outfielder Jenna Golembiewski (10th) and Ball State catcher McKayla Timmons (36th). She is also one of two Conference USA athletes included, alongside New Mexico State’s Desirae Spearman (83rd).
This recognition follows an impressive junior season, where Roupe was ranked No. 58 on Softball America’s season-ending Top 100 Players List.
Dominant 2024 Season
Roupe’s 2024 campaign was nothing short of spectacular. She batted .362 while leading Conference USA in doubles (17), on-base percentage (.509), and OPS (1.273). Her performance included 14 multi-hit games, eight of which were three-hit outings. She showcased her power with five two-homer games, just one shy of the program record for a single season.
Roupe’s season highlights included:
Walk-Off Heroics: A walk-off homer in the season opener against St. John’s.
NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic: A dominant showing, going 10-for-14 at the event.

Following her junior season, Roupe earned a series of accolades:
