Netflix Announces Documentary on Hollywood Icon Gregory Peck
Los Angeles, CA – Netflix has announced an upcoming documentary celebrating the life and career of legendary actor Gregory Peck. Titled “Gregory Peck: The Last Gentleman,” the documentary will explore his rise to fame, his impact on Hollywood, and his lasting influence on film and culture. The project is set to premiere in early 2026.
Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?), the documentary will feature rare archival footage, never-before-seen home videos, and exclusive interviews with Peck’s family, former co-stars, and contemporary actors who have been inspired by his work.
“Gregory Peck was more than just an actor—he was a symbol of integrity, grace, and quiet strength,” said Neville. “His portrayal of Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird remains one of the most beloved performances in film history, but his influence goes far beyond that one role. This documentary will explore his journey from a struggling theater actor to an Academy Award-winning legend, as well as his work as a humanitarian and activist.”
The documentary will also delve into Peck’s advocacy for civil rights, his close friendship with former U.S. presidents, and his outspoken stance on political and social issues. With exclusive access to personal letters, diaries, and private recordings, “Gregory Peck: The Last Gentleman” promises to provide an intimate look at the man behind the iconic roles.
Netflix has yet to announce an exact release date, but fans can expect a teaser trailer later this year.
