In a touching blend of nostalgia and love, Jaclyn Smith, the iconic star of “Charlie’s Angels,” has introduced a new fragrance, JACKIE by Jaclyn Smith. Launched on July 24, 2024, this scent is deeply personal, drawing inspiration from cherished family memories.
Smith, 78, reflects on her mother’s influence, recalling how fragrances like Guerlain’s Shalimar and Jicky filled their home during her youth. These scents left an indelible mark, shaping her appreciation for the power of fragrance.
A romantic gesture from her husband, Brad Allen, also played a pivotal role. Years ago, during a trip to France, he surprised her with a visit to a boutique where she crafted her own unique scent. This experience lingered in her memory, inspiring the creation of her current fragrance.
The scent’s development was meticulous, taking over 50 iterations to perfect. It features top notes of bergamot, aldehydes, and amber; heart notes of ylang-ylang, orris, and French rose; and base notes of earthy musk, sandalwood, and heliotrope.
Smith’s granddaughter, Bea, 7, also influenced the fragrance. In a school project, Bea mentioned her “Mimi” always smells good—a compliment that deeply touched Smith and reinforced her desire to create a scent embodying familial warmth and love.
