Francisco Lindor Celebrates New Baby While Battling Slump—Can He Bounce Back?

Francisco Lindor Welcomes Third Child Amid Early-Season Challenges

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor and his wife, Katia, have announced the birth of their third child, a son named Koa Amani. The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a photo of baby Koa wrapped in a blue blanket. Koa joins his older sisters, Kalina Zoé, 4, and Amapola Chloé, 21 months, expanding the Lindor family to five.

This personal milestone comes as Lindor faces professional challenges on the field. He has experienced a slow start to the 2025 MLB season, going hitless in the first three games. Despite this, Lindor remains committed to improving his performance and contributing to the Mets’ success.

In an effort to enhance his batting, Lindor has begun experimenting with the innovative “torpedo” bat, a design that has garnered attention for its potential to boost hitting power. While the Yankees have seen success with this bat, Lindor’s results have been mixed, and he continues to adjust to the new equipment.

As the season progresses, both the Mets organization and fans are hopeful that Lindor’s personal joy will translate into renewed energy and performance on the

field.
