LSU Gymnastics Stars to Lead All-Research Netflix Documentary on Tigers’ Rise to Powerhouse Status
Baton Rouge, LA — April 2025
LSU Gymnastics’ meteoric rise to the top of the NCAA landscape is set to hit the global stage — this time, on Netflix.
Superstars Haleigh Bryant and Konnor McClain, two of the most decorated gymnasts in LSU history, have signed on to lead and narrate an upcoming all-research Netflix documentary titled “Tigers: Built Different.” The series will chronicle LSU’s journey from perennial contender to 2024 national champions, diving deep into the training methods, culture, and high-profile athletes that reshaped the program.
The project is being produced in collaboration with Netflix Sports and the SEC Network, with a heavy emphasis on research-driven storytelling. The docuseries promises never-before-seen footage of team practices, behind-the-scenes interviews with coaches Jay Clark and Ashleigh Gnat, and in-depth analysis of the NIL era’s impact — highlighted by viral sensation Livvy Dunne’s influence on college athletics.
> “This isn’t just about winning a title,” Bryant said in a teaser release. “It’s about showing how we built something special from the ground up — and the pressure that comes with staying on top.”
McClain, who joined LSU after a decorated elite career, added:
> “People see the routines on Instagram or TikTok — but this will show what no one sees: the heartbreak, the hours in the gym, the science behind every skill.”
Netflix has set an early 2026 release date for “Tigers: Built Different” with filming currently underway throughout the 2025 NCAA season.
