5-Star QB Jared Curtis to Visit South Carolina Gamecocks as Recruitment Heats Up

Jared Curtis, the nation’s top-ranked quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, has added another stop to his highly anticipated recruitment tour. The 5-star prospect is scheduled to visit the South Carolina Gamecocks as part of his official visits this summer.

Curtis, a 6-foot-3.5, 225-pound standout from Nashville Christian School in Tennessee, is one of the most sought-after players in the country. Known for his dual-threat capabilities, he led his team to a state championship in 2024, racking up 2,830 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and an additional 637 rushing yards with 18 touchdowns. His stellar season earned him Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year honors.

The Gamecocks, led by head coach Shane Beamer, are making a strong push to secure Curtis. With a rapidly improving program and a proven track record of developing talent, South Carolina could offer Curtis an opportunity to shine both on and off the field.

“South Carolina has a lot of momentum right now,” Curtis said in a statement. “Coach Beamer and the staff are doing great things, and I’m excited to see how I could fit into their system.”

This visit will add to Curtis’s busy summer schedule, which includes official visits to Oregon, Georgia, and other top programs. The Gamecocks hope to make a lasting impression and position themselves as a serious contender for his commitment.

With numerous offers from elite programs like USC, Ohio State, and Texas, Curtis’s decision will likely reshape the recruiting landscape for 2026. As the recruitment battle intensifies, South Carolina fans are eager to see if their program can pull off one of the biggest commitments in recent history.
