Fans Agitated As Kevin Leung Withdraw From Show, Production Apologies For Loud music

Survivor 48: Kevin Leung Withdraws Following Shoulder Injury

February 28, 2025 – Just days into Survivor Season 48, contestant Kevin Leung has officially withdrawn from the competition due to complications from his shoulder injury.

Leung, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from San Francisco, suffered a dislocated shoulder during the season’s opening marooning challenge. Although medical personnel treated him on-site and initially cleared him to continue, sources close to production confirm that his condition worsened over the following days.

Despite his determination to push forward, Leung reportedly struggled with basic survival tasks and physical challenges. “Kevin gave it his all, but the pain became too much to manage,” said host Jeff Probst in an exclusive statement. “The safety and well-being of our players are always our top priority, and after further medical evaluation, it was clear he couldn’t continue.”

Leung’s exit marks the first medical withdrawal of Survivor 48, leaving his Manta tribe down a member early in the game. His departure will likely shift tribe dynamics and force his former tribemates to rethink their strategy moving forward.

Fans will get to see how the game unfolds without Leung in the next episode, airing Wednesday at 8 PM ET on CBS.
