GLENDALE, ARIZONA – The Chicago White Sox have wrapped up their spring training schedule, and by all accounts, they’re poised for a strong 2024 campaign.

Manager Pedro Grifol’s squad has been impressive in Cactus League play, posting a 17-12 record while showcasing a potent offense and stingy pitching.

“We’re feeling good about where we’re at,” Grifol said. “Our guys have worked hard, and it’s paid off. We’re looking forward to getting the season started.”

One of the standout performers for the White Sox has been reigning American League MVP, Luis Robert Jr. The 26-year-old outfielder has been tearing the cover off the ball, hitting .350 with five home runs and 15 RBIs in 20 spring games.

“I’m just trying to stay consistent and help the team win,” Robert said. “We’ve got a great group of guys, and I’m excited to see what we can do this season.”

The White Sox pitching staff has also been impressive, with starters Lucas Giolito, Dylan Cease, and Lance Lynn all posting strong ERAs.

“We’ve got a deep and talented rotation,” said pitching coach Ethan Katz. “Our guys have been working hard, and it’s showing. We’re confident that we can compete with anyone.”

As the White Sox prepare to break camp and head north, they’re doing so with a renewed sense of optimism. After a disappointing 2023 season, the team has retooled and refocused, and they’re eager to make a deep postseason run.

“We’re ready to go,” Grifol said. “We’ve got a great team, and we’re looking forward to getting started.”

The White Sox will open the 2024 season on March 28 against the Houston Astros at Guaranteed Rate Field.
