- Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has signed his one-year, $5.346 million restricted free agent tender, setting the stage for his debut as the team’s starting running back in the 2025 NFL season.
The move follows the offseason departure of Najee Harris, who signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. With Harris gone, Warren — who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022 — is poised to take on a larger role in the Steelers’ offense.
At 26 years old, Warren is coming off a strong 2023 season where he posted career highs with 784 rushing yards, averaging 5.3 yards per carry, and scoring four touchdowns. Despite not starting in any of his 48 regular-season or two playoff games, his consistency and explosiveness earned praise from coaches and fans alike.
