Columbus Fury Announces Mount Carmel as Official Healthcare Partner for Inaugural Season
Columbus, OH — The Columbus Fury, a new addition to the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF), has announced Mount Carmel Health System as its official community healthcare partner and presenting sponsor for the team’s highly anticipated inaugural season.
The partnership between Mount Carmel and the Fury is being lauded for its shared commitment to women’s excellence, both in sports and healthcare. Lorraine Lutton, CEO of Mount Carmel Health System, emphasized the significance of the partnership in a recent statement.
“This sponsorship reflects our unwavering support for women’s achievements on the court, in healthcare, our community, and beyond,” said Lutton. “We look forward to cheering them on to victory this season and being a part of their journey to success.”
Mount Carmel has a storied history of female leadership, having been founded by the Sisters of the Holy Cross in the late 19th century. Today, the healthcare system is led by a female CEO, with several of its hospitals under the direction of female presidents.
David Paitson, CEO of the Columbus Fury, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of partnering with an organization that aligns with the Fury’s mission. “Mount Carmel has a strong track record of providing services for the community, many of which are specific to women. We appreciate their partnership in our inaugural season.”
The Columbus Fury will open their season on the road against Grand Rapids later this month, before hosting their first home game at Nationwide Arena in February.
